Attending local community events

When we first moved to Richmond my husband and I made a pact to say “Yes!” to everything to get to know our new town and the people in it. This included attending all sorts of community events posted on light poles and coffee shop windows. Now almost 10 years later, this place is a warm hug and everywhere we go we run into people we know, vendors we love, and small businesses we’ve watched grow and grow. Being in community is a balm for everything.
